Reporter. Producer. Writer. Blogger.
I was born and raised in the Pittsburgh area where I currently work as a reporter, producer and promotions assistant at Sports Radio 93.7 The Fan KDKA-FM. I participated in basketball and track during high school and won the Pennsylvania State Championship for pole vaulting. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from East Carolina University with a bachelor of science degree in Journalism in May 2012.
While enrolled at ECU, I was a pole vaulter for the Track team, served as a staff writer for The East Carolinian and have received numerous awards for academics and athletics. In 2011
I was chosen to represent the School of Communication as Master of Ceremonies for a chancellor's event.
During the summer of 2011, I completed an internship with 93.7-The Fan, a sports talk radio station in Pittsburgh. I conducted pre-game interviews and participated in post-game press conferences with the Pittsburgh Pirates and Penguins. I also conducted interviews at Pittsburgh Steelers training camps and a preseason game.
From September 2011 to April 2012, I participated in an internship program at WNCT-TV in Greenville, N.C. I was responsible for assisting producers, anchors and reporters in drafting and writing scripts and gathering information for live broadcasts.
While at ECU I shot, edited and produced an It Gets Better Video for the university that is used by the GLBTSU. As well as a promotional video for the Global Understanding Program that is used by the university.
